Plod is a step-tracking iOS app with a virtual hamster companion. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it's used, and your rights regarding that data.
Plod reads your daily step count from Apple HealthKit, with your explicit permission. No other health data, personal information, or device identifiers are accessed.
Step count data is used only to display your progress within the app and to determine whether your virtual hamster survives the week. All processing happens locally on your device.
Plod does not transmit any data to external servers. Nothing is uploaded, stored remotely, shared with third parties, or sold. The app contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, and no third-party services of any kind.
Plod has no user accounts. You do not create a profile, sign in, or provide any identifying information to use the app.
You can revoke Plod's access to HealthKit data at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security → Health → Plod. If you uninstall the app, any local data it created is removed with it.
Plod is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children. As described above, the app does not collect personal information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
